Animal Reiki
Treating animals early on in my Reiki path was what really
convinced me of the powers of the healing universal energies. I
have a life-long love and affinity for animals and have never
lost the feeling of humility and gratitude when they invite me
into their aura and happily accept Reiki from me.
Animals have the ability to know exactly what’s good for them
and seen to respond really well to Reiki, coming back time and
time again to ask for it. It is my early success with various
animals that totally convinced me that the universal energy
works beyond any shadow of doubt and it is my many amazing
encounters with animals and their success stories that really
made me trust and believe in the power and love of the universe
the way I do today.
Animals have a free will and before treating them I will always
ask their permission. Most will respond by happily letting me
touch them. Occasionally they communicate with me by
transmitting emotions or thoughts which can help to get to the
root of their problem.
Horses
Having told a friend about Reiki, she asked me to have a go on
her lame horse. Having obtained the horse’s permission, my hands
quickly responded and detected the pain she was suffering
following an endurance ride competition a few days earlier.
Again, Reiki eased the horse’s pain and reduced the swelling in
her joints. I went on to treat many more horses and Reiki proved
to be totally amazing on all of them. Not only do horses
positively love the energy (often almost falling asleep with
their head on my shoulder), Reiki helped to calm anxious horses,
worked on digestive problems, eased pain and restored balance
where it had been out of sync. Owners reported that previously
nervous or uncooperative horses who had refused to go into their
trailers or be shoed were after a couple of Reiki sessions
transformed into calm and well behaved animals. |

Dogs
I noticed that my old and wise Springer Spaniel Nelson
always planted himself near me when I gave Reiki to friends
and family and I decided to put my hands on him. To my utter
delight regular Reiki sessions improved his mobility and
seemed to ease his joint pain.
I have given Reiki to many more dogs since whose condition
improved and who had a better quality of life thereafter.
Reiki even helped with a dog who was so afraid of the annual
bonfire activities that his owner was at the end of her
tether and considered tranquilising him. That particular dog
never completely lost his fear of loud bangs but following
Reiki he no longer went into panic mode and would calm
quickly having been re-assured.

Cats
When I was giving Reiki to a horse, the resident farm cat
amazed her owner by walking straight over to me into the
field and inviting me to give her some of the energy. The
owner couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw her cat
standing right beside the horse to receive Reiki because
ordinarily she would treat horses with the utmost respect and avoid going
anywhere near them. |
