What is Dorn?

By Annette Steele M.I.C.H.T

Dorn is a gentle, safe and very effective treatment that helps to alleviate the cause of back and joint pain. It is suitable for people of all ages.

Dorn is used to correct misalignments of the spine and other joints and originated in Germany where it has been used with great success for more than 35 years.

A treatment consists of a range of well proven exercise techniques that help joints and vertebrae slip back into their natural positions - without any force or dreaded clicks and crunches.

During a Dorn treatment the client actively participates by moving; this dynamic, moving action helps the therapist to gently push or guide the bones back into their intended position. This movement is important because in their distracted state the muscles don't resist and only very light pressure and counter pressure is applied which our body usually readily accepts.

I use my thumb or my hand, there is no forceful manipulation which can stress muscles and ligaments. The entire treatment is based on physics, fact and bags of common sense - no gimmicks. I will show you how to do some very simple exercises at home that will help maintain balance in your body for the long term.

Do you regularly sit with crossed legs, carry a bag over your shoulder, slouch or drive for long periods? Those can eventually lead to health issues and manifest as spine and joint problems with the associated pain and discomfort.

The Dorn Method is well worth a try if you suffer from:

The Dorn Method can be combined very effectively with the Breuss Massage which gently and effectively aligns the spine and joints.

This combination treatment regenerates the whole body system. Gentle, simple and effective.

A course of 3 initial treatments is recommended to ensure that misalignments have been corrected, after which you will merely require occasional maintenance treatments.
