Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage has been practiced in India for over 1000 years. This skill is handed down from generation to generation. Indian women traditionally practice the massage for the health benefits and mothers will massage their babies and children on a regular basis. An Indian Head Massage is both subtle and deep and will leave you feeling deeply relaxed, rejuvenated and deeply affected.
It is carried out with the client sitting in a comfortable chair for the duration of the massage. You don’t need to remove your clothing, however you may find that a cotton top or T shirt are the most comfortable to wear. Some clients prefer to remove their top to prevent any oil staining.
The treatment includes massaging the shoulders, upper arms, neck, scalp, face, ears and also energy balancing.
It is a wonderfully relaxing therapy and can provide relief from aches and pains, stress symptoms, insomnia, promote hair growth, soothe, comfort and rebalance your energy flow and gives you a deep sense of peace, calm and tranquillity.
Indian Head Massage is particularly beneficial to anyone sitting for long periods of time, such as computer users. It is wonderful for pain and tension in the neck and shoulders and is said to be beneficial to those suffering from eyestrain, headaches and difficulties in concentrating.
It is excellent introduction to massage and not only relaxing and enjoyable; it also sharpens your mind, aids your concentration and leaves you feeling well balanced, calm and at peace.
It is said that regular Indian Head Massages can help relieve stress, anxiety, depression and mental tension with the added bonus of healthy, lustrous hair due to the hair follicles being stimulated.
Ideally a course of 1 weekly treatment for 4 – 6 weeks should be taken to give maximum benefit. Some clients opt to continue receiving an Indian Head Massage on a regular basis thereafter.
